Much valued from antiquity to the present as a gemstone, amber is made into a variety of decorative objects and is used in jewelry. It has also been used as a healing agent in folk medicine. Amber is considered the "soul of the tiger" in Asian cultures and regarded as the stone of courage and because of this, pieces of amber were carried for protection during long travels, as well as used to treat jaundice. It is also believed that amber balances emotions, attracts good luck, inner child release, creativity/focusing, solar plexus and sacral chakras, psychic shielding, inner peace/calming, learning patience, and lots more.
