This 3 1/2" X 4 1/4" X 8" cold cast resin dog statue is that of great detail resembling the Egyptian God Anubis. Anazubg detail by Stanley Morrison that is also apart of the collection. Anubis was the Egyptian deity of cemeteries and embalming as well as the protector of graves. As with any other culture or religion around the world, the Egyptians believed in paying respect to their dead. Anubis, easily recognizable as an anthropomorphized jackal or dog, was the Egyptian god of the afterlife and mummification. He helped judge souls after their death and guided lost souls into the afterlife.
